The historical architecture of this place has its charm, with large rooms and tall ceilings that give it a unique character. The location is right off Ku'damm, making it a breeze to access restaurants and public transport.
The elevator is unreliable, often leaving you with heavy luggage and no easy way up. Some rooms feel sparse and lack basics like a fridge or coffee-making facilities. The walls don't do a great job blocking sound from adjacent rooms, leading to a less peaceful stay. It's also a bit of a trek from the airport and stations, which can be a hassle. Sometimes the reception is completely empty, which can be concerning if you need assistance or just want to drop off your bags.

The old hotel had a charming character, but I needed an extra pillow.

missingWrote a review on 30 Octcomfortable bedsclean roomsconfusing layout
Clean, functional rooms with comfortable bedding stand out during the stay. The hotel offers easy check-in and check-out up until noon, making things simple for travelers.
The building shares space with other businesses, leading to a confusing layout where the reception is not directly accessible. Rooms can feel cramped and show signs of wear, such as worn carpeting and noise issues from adjacent rooms. A non-functional lift added inconvenience, especially for those with heavy luggage. Currently, there’s no breakfast available due to staff shortages, leaving limited dining options nearby despite a bakery across the street.

the reception was absolutely empty when I arrived, just what one would expect from a supposed hotel, right? also, a working lift is apparently too much to ask for! woudl ve been nice to get a complimentary drink or something for dealing with the absolute chaos here. i almost gave a nice review, but really couldn't.
